Findhorn Update 11 December 2008
Hello this beautiful cold, bright morning,
The last few classes of 2008 are occurring in the next week. Thank you all for your ongoing presence, engagement, commitment and passion for showing up; for yourself and the dance, here in this fantastic group of dancers.
It has been a rich year of study and work for me. As I finish teaching the second ongoing Heart2Heart group, I am very grateful for the Heartbeat training I was able to take part in with Gabrielle Roth. These ongoing groups have been so rewarding; meeting week after week with the same group of people, and the individual sessions that each person receives, touches me deeply. These are challenging times and this work can be profound in what it offers. I will be sending out the dates for my next ongoing course soon.
Sunday the 14th is Sweat Your Prayers at 7pm and Thursday the 18th is the last class of this calendar year. A one off is the warm up and taster session for the New Years Event that Karl and I are offering on Saturday the 13th, 3-6pm in the Auditorium. Remember, to be sure of a mince pie and the reduced price of £7, please sign up outside the DDS door and slip your money under the Bodysurf Scotland office door (directions on the sign up sheet!).
Dates for next year:
I will be refreshing myself on a 5 days Teachers Gathering in New York with Gabrielle Roth January 7th - 11th and Bettina is still in Brazil following her mothers death. That means that the first Thursday class will be on the 22nd January. I am hoping the first SYP will be on 18th January, tbc.
It was an exciting honour to have Kathy Altman here from the States in June of this year. The workshop was very well received and I am so happy to reconfirm that Kathy will be returning June 20-25th 2009 to offer Cycles - a journey through the 5 life-cycles from Birth to Death. The publicity for that and the opportunity to book will be with you next week.
Julie Deal is returning for the 3rd Goddess & Whore workshop March 6-8th 2009, fliers also on their way. More info to follow.
Findhorn Foundation Heartbeat 5 day workshop May 30th-June 4th; Findhorn Foundation Waves week 15th -22nd August. More info on the special events page.
Finally, there are still places on the New Years Dance Event. 20 people are confirmed with enquiries still coming in, so do contact bodysurf@findhorn.com to book your place or just to let us know if you are thinking of attending.
