Findhorn Update 21 January 2009
Dear 5Rhythms dancers,
Here is some more information about what is happening in the Community over the next wee while. As a reminder, due to the floor being sanded in the Auditorium (and the new film screen and equipment being installed) we have some changes of venue as there are also events happening in Cluny. So we dance between Cluny Ballroom and the Dance studio. Don't worry about space, there is always the magic of the art of circulation, with the breath in the body and the body in the room. I know myself the myriad of excuses I can come up with NOT to dance and.... I have never regretted showing up in over 20 years of this practice being in my life.
Returning from New York, and having some fascinating time to move, reflect and witness my ego in different forms and versions, and after interesting discussions with other teachers, whoever is teaching which class or Sweat Your Prayers will be a show-up-and-see experience, unless it is a guest teacher. I am happy to talk more about this in the group, once I have caught up with Bettina who returns from Brazil tomorrow, 5 months pregnant!
On the Downloads page is also the flier for Goddess and the Whore in March, Julies' 3rd visit after 2 enjoyable, enlivening and delicious previous visits and Kathy Altman returning in June with Cycles - moving through the 5 life cycles from Birth to Death. It is another amazing opportunity to dance with Kathy on our doorstep, with dancers coming from afar, especially as Cycles is a pre-requisite for the 5Rhythms teacher training. Book soon. Both of these workshops are booked though Bodysurf Scotland.

- No SYP this Sunday, sorry ;(
- Waves Introduction Wednesday 28th January 7.30-9.30pm, Dance Studio (DDS), downstairs in the Universal Hall. I can't remember when the last one was and they are not so frequent (requesting helps!) so tell any of your friends or otherwise who may want to be dancing more this 2009.
